MT-S4 is a transducer – summing for analog process signals (0 … 5mA – 0..20mA – 4 … 20mA – 0 … 10V etc) suitable for any type of system. The MT-S4 summing is able to measure the voltage and current signals from voltage, power, current transducers etc. (or from any other device with analog output), to weigh the value according to the desired setting (e.g.: 20mA corresponds to 4kW) and output an analog signal (0 … 5mA – 0..20mA – 4 … 20mA – 0 … 10V etc.) proportional to the algebraic sum of the weighed inputs. The MT-S4 summing is designed to provide reliable indications and make measurements with a high precision class (0.5% or 0.2%), acquisition times <50 msec (option) and ensuring insulation between inputs and outputs equal to 2kV. This device is often used to output the sum, or the differential, of the absorption of the loads connected to the network in order to thus determine the overall consumption of the system or possibly determine which load to disconnect in case of overload. It can also be used in all those sectors where there is a need to monitor a production delta or a differential between the input and output of a system. It has two channels that can be supplied in different configurations and can be requested with a RS485 ModBus RTU serial interface which allows remote monitoring of all measurement and configuration parameters. The auxiliary power supply allows it to be used both in systems powered by mains voltage and in systems powered at 24Vdc by having an 18…60 Vac/dc extended range power supply on board.
